John has made it a project for many years now, to work on more buildings and special parts of the miniature set up and village for his trains over the months of winter. The buildings are kits, but detailed and complex so that all the pieces, parts and roof shingles etc. are individually set and glued together. John has severe pain from lots of degenerative arthritis, but his knees are good and so far the arthritis has not damaged them. Therefore, he can do a lot of work on his track and buildings while on his knees around their home's landscape that sets off his amazing railway system and village. This has helped keep his mind off his pretty constant and severe pain. What a treat it was to see his trains running through his village, back and around, onward and over; switching tracks, making pick ups, loading and unloading etc. Amazing work of detail and 'engineering'!

Electric Trains
Our friends, John and Felicia, who combine orchid growing with model trains. While enjoying a picnic at their house, I was able to photograph the model trains and the amazing set up amongst all the landscape and shrubbery. The plants in the green house are orchids, though not in bloom there. The orchids that are in bloom are set all around in their home.
